With most of the recent blogs being about what I’ve been up to or making, thought it would be a nice change of pace to give you a sneak peek at my current projects and what’s on the horizon. for the rest of the year. (Despite the year’s attempts to go by in a flash, we still have 6 months left of 2025!)
So What’s currently on my hook?
- 100% woollen blanket for my husband made of orange and black singles. (this is my campfire project for camping.) This is going much better after starting it over.

- A white an pink peacock variant for a colleague this is almost finished, just procrastinating the sewing bit. But once it’s finished it should look good!

- A new pattern from myself of a new crochet dicebag which has a bit of festive spirit to it (should be with you sometime around September to give you all time to make it.)
- A new pattern from myself for a cute amagarumi version of my logo, this isn’t too far off and you should see this in the next month or so.
- A second colour variant of the Kima Cardi from TL Yarn Crafts. I made one at the end of 2023 and wanted a second in a different colour version.
- A filet baby dinosaur blanket by Yarnspirations, which has stalled for a year and maybe frogged if I don’t pick it back up soon. (Some projects wind up like that.) however it was nice to learn the technique! Sadly the striping yarn feels a bit too busy for the filet design and is detracting from the finished design.

- A scraps granny hexagon blanket which is another stalled project, this is a good way through and will probably be finished eventually.
So with 7 projects on the go in various forms…. (that needs to be reduced dramatically!) what projects do I have lined up for the rest of the year?
- The Frog Prince Teacozy by Carole Greaves – this has been requested by a friend despite not owning a tea pot!
- A small Elephant toy by Inna Chybinova, I’ve used a few of her patterns before and they are beautifully written and photographed with clear instructions. This is for another colleague.
- Finally on the crochet side of things is a secret/surprise project which I won’t be releasing until after it’s been gifted.

- On the sewing front, part way through creating a back seat hammock for our dogs to sit in, in my Husbands 4×4. This will probably be the first non-crochet but wider fibre crafts related project on the blog.
- Exciting news on the workshop front, guess who got booked onto the Tartan designing and weaving workshop at Farfield Mill! With limited places, feel lucky to have got onto it! So you can expect a post on how that all went later this year!
- Finally, your girl has once again decided to put on her big girl pants and MAY BE entering a textile competition. IF this is something that happens you may get several entries on the process as a whole as this will be a large project and it will be fun to document the whole process from concept to design through to the finished piece. If it’s lucky to be accepted for display, you of course will be brought along for the ride on the exhibiting process too!
All in all, it feels like it will be a full second half of 2025 with much to keep me busy alongside a full time job and part time HND! (why do things by halves!?)
