Prompted Musings – Small improvements quickly add up!

What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?

Sometimes, the open-ended questions from Jetpack are the best!

As this is a crafting blog it feels appropriate to stick to a craft related improvements. (Which is probably best, or we could be here all day!)

If we’re going to be honest, tidying up my workspace is probably a small improvement which would have a big impact on my life right now. I know I’m not alone, but you get so focused on the project at hand craft clutter starts to accumulate and then take over, at the end of the project you look up and…. Carnage has happened! At this point you would be shown a photo relating to the paragraph, but I’m not sharing the guilty secret of my workspace and you don’t want to see that so have a picture of my dogs investigating a yarn delivery instead, much nicer to look at!

Investigating this… investigating that. You know general investigating!

It’s silly really, it feels amazing when you can clear it all up and it looks tidy, but I absolutely fall into the group of people who just craft in chaos (you know who you all are, brothers and sisters in arms!) It’s like creativity and chaos go hand in hand!

But you don’t have to approach the chaos all in one go if it’s overwhelming. You can break the one small improvement down into lots of tasks which added together make a massive difference. Or you can procastinate doing the one piece of organising which will make your life better and do those household chores you have been putting off instead. Look no one said the brain was a logical place! What’s that!? More cute photos of my dogs! Totally not trying for distraction techniques here!

Big projects are for sleeping on!

Joking aside, don’t underestimate a small improvement, it really can make the difference, and try not to procrastinate on doing it. Bite the bullet and get it done, you will feel so much better for having done it, and the task won’t be as bad as you think!
