Finished Pattern – Happy Coffee Cup

Another birthday, another finished project. This time we have a tiny happy cup of coffee as a present for my friend (again, already gifted so no spoilers here!) she loves her coffee, so this seemed to be perfect for her!

This is the Upset/angry coffee crochet pattern by FalseBubbles. Made using green yarn as that is her favouite colour!

Coffee always makes me happy in the mornings!

This was another quick and very beginner friendly pattern, FalseBubbles very clearly explains and demonstrates how to do each section and it cannot have taken me more than a couple of hours to work up and assemble while following her video.

As with the littlest awoo, I used the same 100% cotton Rico Ricorumi DK yarn and a 3mm hook. Because of this it turned out quite small. That is completely on me for not using the recommended yarn and hook though and I still think it turned out cute and it makes for a sweet desk ornament!

While the pattern calls for an angry coffee, I honestly couldn’t bring myself to do that, so mine is a happy coffee instead. (Who doesnt feel happy after coffee?)

As with the first time you make any pattern, there are always improvements I would like to make. The handle could be a little thicker and it was sewn on a little wonky. But in my defence I was sat in a tent, camping at the time!

In summery

Thought it would be nice to actually do a rating system moving forward on these posts, so without further a do:

  • Beginner Friendly – 4 out of 5
  • Speed to make – 4 out of 5
  • Cuteness factor – 5 out of 5
Perched ontop her Mic!

Edit: To be honest, this project was completed in August 2023, and I genuinely belived had been scheduled and posted to this blog in October 2023, however, all I am able to find is the draft, so if you have already read this post, please let me know in the comments below. Perhaps we can figure out what happened to the original one!
