Finished Pattern – The Littlest Awooo!

For a for a friends birthday I decided to crochet him a wolf as a present (he’s already been gifted it so there are no spoilers here!)

For this make I decided to use the Littlest Awoooo pattern from Complicated Knots.

To say this pattern is cute is an understatement, it’s absolutely adorable! Even when you make it up a bit wonky like I did!

‘Awooooooooooo!’

This pattern worked up really quickly, even for someone who works quite slow, I was done in about 3 hours and it wasn’t complicated at all. Her YouTube video makes it really clear and is really easy to follow.

Any more complicated stitches such as increases and decreases are so clearly demonstrated and explained that this would definitely be a pattern someone with beginner experience could work on and complete in a day of project time.

To make mine, I used a 3mm hook and 100% cotton yarn from Rico Ricorumi DK Yarn purchased from Hobbycraft in the UK (but the link will take you to their store locator to find a retailer near you.) and a little bit of polyester stuffing, which works up into a little wolf around 3” tall. However, if you were to try it using a fluffy chunky yarn with a bigger hook, this would create a good plushy sized toy which I imagine would be around 10 or so inches tall using the same pattern.

All in all, I’m pleased with the result. Next time I won’t forget the pins so it is assembled a little straighter. I would thoroughly recommend checking out Complicated Knots on both Etsy and YouTube and support her by giving some of her patterns a go!
